The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies and the Center for Holocaust Studies at the Institute for Contemporary History in Munich (Zentrum für Holocaust-Studien am Institut für Zeitgeschichte München) are pleased to invite applications for a Workshop on Research at German Memorial Sites and Documentation Centers on the History of National Socialism and the Holocaust. The workshop will take place on October 26–30, 2015 at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.

EHRI Fellow Justyna Majewska: Jewish social transformation in the Warsaw ghetto as revealed in personal narratives

Justyna Majewska is an EHRI fellow and a PhD researcher with the Graduate School for Social Research at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Her research subject is "The change of the social structure in Nazi ghettos with the example of the Warsaw Ghetto".

All JDC Records from Post-World War II Period Digitized

The JDC (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee) Archives has announced the completion of a major effort to catalogue, microfilm and digitize all of its post-Holocaust era collections, 1945-1954. The culmination of a six-year effort, this project is part of an ongoing plan to make historically significant documents available to scholars, genealogists and the general public. This material is searchable on the JDC Archives website. Online finding aids provide information on the contents of these collections and enable users to identify materials of interest to their research.

EHRI Community Hub moves to the EHRI Portal

The aim of the EHRI Community Hub is to offer the archival and research communities interested in the Holocaust the opportunity to virtually collaborate with each other, and to get more tightly involved in the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI).

At the moment the EHRI Community Hub is transferred from the EHRI website to the EHRI Portal and Virtual Research Environment, that will be launched in March 2015. Therefore it is temporarily impossible to login or register.
