EHRI organizes an international workshop on Geography and Holocaust Research, to be held at the International Tracing Service at Bad Arolsen, Germany on May 27-29, 2013, and would like to invite you to submit a proposal.

In May and June 2012, EHRI was presented on various occasions by Veerle Vanden Daelen, who is leader of the EHRI team for Identification and Investigation. On 22 May, the 5th Contact Day Jewish Studies on the Low Countries took place, organized by the Institute of Jewish Studies at the University of Antwerp.

The Wiener Library in London was delighted to host the latest international workshop of the European Holocaust Research Infrastructure. The workshop, held from 30 April to 2 May 2012, focused on five topics: audio-visual testimony; the timing of testimony; testimony as evidence, evidence as testimony; translation of Holocaust testimonies and false testimony.

Linda Margittai is one of the twelve EHRI fellows of 2012. Linda, who is from Hungary, was hosted at NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Amsterdam, in May and June to further her research on the fate of Hungarian Jews living abroad during the Holocaust. She was happy to answer a few questions about her fellowship.

EHRI Work Package Member on Trans-institutional Research Guides

When Michal Frankl, Head of the Shoah History department at the Jewish Museum in Prague, asked me to be a part of EHRI, I was really excited to be involved in such a large and ambitious project, working together with Holocaust institutions throughout Europe and Israel.
