The conflict and its consequences for the Jews

EHRI partner Mémorial de la Shoah in France and the Ben-Zvi Institute, Israel, are organizing an international conference commemorating the 70 years since Operation Torch and the great battle at El Alamein. These events symbolize a turning point in the North African campaign of World War II and the struggle between the Allies and the Axis forces. November 1942 was also a turning point in the destiny of the North African Jewry.

The conference will take place at the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris on November, 7-8 2012. You are invited to submit proposals for papers, accompanied by an abstract of no longer than one page. The final submission of proposals is June 1, 2012.
