Angeliki Gavriiloglou

Angeliki Gavriiloglou is a PhD candidate at the Freie Universität Berlin, at the department of Philosophy and Humanities, Modern – Greek studies. She is an ELES research Fellow. She has graduated from the department of History and Archaeology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She concluded her Master’s degree in Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean studies at the International Hellenic University.

She has worked on a research project titled “Post – war transformation of Thessaloniki and the fate of the Jewish assets”, and on a project concerning the Jewish students of Thessaloniki, during World War II, titled “Mapping the Memory: Jewish students in WWII Salonika and the Holocaust (1939 – 1943)”, supported by the Jewish Museum of Thessaloniki and the Chair of Jewish studies (AUTH). She has presented her research on several workshops and conferences.
