IHRA Grant Call Open for Projects

IHRA Grant Call
Monday, 19 June, 2023

Is your organization working on innovative ways to secure the future of Holocaust remembrance?

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) has re-opened its grant program on 19 June 2023 and invites organizations to apply with projects that safeguard the record of the Holocaust and the genocide of the Roma, or counter distortion.

IHRA Grant projects benefit from access to the wealth of IHRA expertise, tools, and guidance which have been developed since the IHRA’s establishment in 1998. With these resources and the connection to the IHRA, IHRA Grant projects and organizations can gain exposure on both the national and international stage.

The new call comes after an evaluation of the IHRA’s grant program and features a simpler application process and renewed criteria. A total of € 450,000 of funding will be made available annually. The largest grant size available is € 50,000 over 2 years.

Organizations from anywhere in the world can apply. However, given Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the IHRA Grant Program especially encourages applications from institutions working in and around Ukraine. IHRA is keen to support projects that will allow continued remembrance of the Holocaust during Ukraine’s recovery process and beyond.
