Steffen Werther is Senior Lecturer and researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History at Södertörn University, Sweden. He is interested in German and Scandinavian history, with a focus on nationalism, racial theory, memory studies and (Neo-)Nazi movements and ideologies. He is currently involved in research projects dealing with the registration of Roma in the Baltic Sea Region during WWII and the memory work and legacy of Waffen-SS veterans in contemporary Europe.
