Anne Chardonnens is currently a PhD candidate at Université libre de Bruxelles and a member of the Center for Research in Information and Communication Sciences (ReSIC).

After completing her Master's degree in Cultural management (Université libre de Bruxelles), she has participated in MADDLAIN, a research project dedicated to the digital practices and needs of users of archive centres and libraries. Since 2016 she has been working as a researcher at the Study Centre War and Society (CegeSoma/State Archives of Belgium) in the context of the ADOCHS project (Auditing Digitisation Outputs in the Cultural Heritage Sector).

Her doctoral project focusses on the management of authority files in relation to individuals in order to improve user access to archival holdings in relation to the Second World War. During her EHRI fellowship at the CDEC, she will work on a project entitled "Bringing the CegeSoma subject headings to the Web of Linked Data".
