The post-war period as reflected through Art

Location: Yad Vashem, Jerusalem, Israel

Date: October 25-26, 2022

Survivors of the Holocaust produced powerful works using different means that record or reflect on their experiences. In the months and years following their liberation a number of survivors who were artists turned to their craft in order to work through their past, rebuild their emotional worlds and commemorate their losses.

EHRI Acknowledged in European Commission’s Strategy on Antisemitism

On Tuesday 5 October 2021, the EU launched its first ever Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life

EHRI has recently published a position paper that highlights its intrinsic importance to research on antisemitism and the fight against antisemitism.

EHRI is delighted that the EC duly acknowledges EHRI as an important pillar in the implementation of its strategy on antisemitism, and that it encourages member states to politically and financially support EHRI’s transition from a series of projects into a permanent European research organisation.

The prize is intended to honour the memory of the architect, publicist and writer Simon Wiesenthal, who fought tirelessly throughout his life against indifference to the crimes of National Socialism. The Simon-Wiesenthal-Prize is intended to spur many people and organisations to raise their voices and follow this example.
