Volodymyr Zilinskyi is a senior custodian at the State Archive of the Lviv region and a lecturer at the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”. He was born in Sambir,Lviv region, Ukraine, in 1991 and graduated from the History Department of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 2013.

Preparing his PhD thesis, he took part in and made reports of different scientific conferences and projects in Ukraine, Poland and Germany. In 2016 he received a fellowship stipend and worked at Yahad in Unum in Paris.

Volodymyr received his PhD in History in 2019 at the Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Ukrainian Institute of the Archeography and Source Studies, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv). His specialty is “Historiography, Source Criticism, Special Historical Disciplines”. The topic of Volodymyr’s scientific research is The Holocaust on the territory of the district of Galicia: source criticism.
