Oral History Forum d'histoire orale is the journal of the Canadian Oral History Association. It publishes scholarly and other contributions to the field of Oral History and Oral Tradition. For spring 2013 the Oral History Forum d'histoire orale seeks submissions to a special issue entitled 'Confronting Mass Atrocities'.

EHRI Fellow Nina Paulovicova

Nina Paulovicova was the first EHRI Fellow at the Jewish Museum Prague where she was based for two months in January-February 2012. She conducted research for her postdoctoral project 'The rescue of Slovak Jews in the final stage of the cleric-fascist Slovak state (1944-1945)'.

Peope in EHRI: Luc Levy, Head of International Relations at the Shoah Memorial in Paris

I graduated with a Doctorate and Postgraduate Diploma from the IEP of Paris (Institute of Political Studies) and am fluent in Russian and Serbo-Croatian. My Doctoral thesis was on the image of Nazism in the Soviet media during the Stalinist period.

EHRI Community Hub

Be part of the Holocaust Research Community and register for the EHRI Community HUB.

EHRI wants to actively support the Holocaust research community. We are creating an online portal that will give access to dispersed Holocaust sources. Additional to this portal we will develop a Virtual Research Environment (VRE) for Holocaust researchers. The Hub is a beginning.

EHRI and the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH)

On 2 and 3 April the first General Virtual Competency Centre Meeting of DARIAH EU was held in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Tobias Blanke, one of the Directors of DARIAH-EU and member of EHRI’s Executive Team, facilitated two panel sessions. Conny Kristel, Project Director EHRI, participated in a panel with representatives from the arts and humanities research community.

The Department for Comparative Studies of Civilizations of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow holds an International Interdisciplinary Conference on Music and Genocide.
November 16-17, 2012.

On first glance no two experiences could be further away from each other than genocide and music. The world of mass murder seems to be the opposite of the world of spirituality.

EHRI would like to invite you to an international workshop on Early Attempts at the Historical Documentation of the Holocaust, to be held at the Holocaust Memorial Center in Budapest, Hungary on November 27-28, 2012. The overall objective of the EHRI experts' workshops is to generate a creative exchange of knowledge and views between experts in various methodological subfields of Holocaust research and documentation.
